Golf, good company and a shared determination to support an important local charity came together for another memorable ETS Dave Cole Charity Golf Day.
The event was held in memory of ETS Group co-founder Dave Cole, bringing colleagues, customers, suppliers, friends and supporters together for a day that celebrated his legacy while raising vital funds for an amazing local charity: Jessie May.
From the first tee to the final presentation, the day was filled with friendly competition, plenty of smiles and a wonderful sense of community.
Remembering our ETS Co-Founder Dave Cole
Dave Cole co-founded ETS Group with Des Derrick in 1979. The principles on which they built the business remain central to ETS today: strong relationships, dependable service and doing what you say you will do.
The ETS Dave Cole Charity Golf Day is an opportunity to remember Dave and celebrate his contribution to ETS. It also brings together many of the people and businesses that have become part of the wider ETS community over the years.
Seeing so many familiar faces enjoying the day and supporting a worthwhile cause was a fitting way to continue that legacy.
Bringing People Together for a Great Cause
Although there was plenty of competition on the course, the day was about far more than the final scores.
It was about people giving their time, donating prizes and coming together to help children and families across the South West.
This year’s golf day raised funds for Jessie May, a local children’s hospice at home charity. Its specialist nurses provide care in the homes of children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Jessie May also supports parents, siblings and wider family members throughout a child’s life, at the end of life and during bereavement. This compassionate care gives parents and carers much-needed support while helping families spend precious time together in the place where they feel most comfortable: their own home.
The charity supports families across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. Jessie May also provides families with a compassionate community of people who understand the challenges they are facing and have faced, and they help create moments of joy and precious memories that families can treasure for years to come.
Its work makes a genuine difference to people throughout the communities in which ETS operates.
Ending the Day on a High
After an enjoyable day on the golf course, everyone came together for the presentations, raffle and prize-giving.
There were some fantastic prizes available, all made possible by the generosity of the businesses and individuals who supported the event. The raffle brought plenty of excitement, while the presentations gave everyone the chance to celebrate the day’s golfing achievements.
Congratulations to all this year’s winners and thank you to every player who took part. Whether you finished with a trophy or simply enjoyed the golf and company, your involvement helped make the day a success.
