ETS Group were employed as Main Contractor to carry out the Design & Build Fit-Out for Knight Franks new office location in the centre of Cirencester.
Challenges
Following refurbishment work carried out on their Grade II listed premises in Cheltenham, Knight Frank asked us to carry out the Fit-Out for their office relocation in Cirencester. Their new premises are in the pedestrianised market area in the centre of town to take advantage of increased footfall, and again Grade II listed occupying Ground Floor and Basement levels. As well as delays whilst listed building and planning consents were obtained, one of the biggest challenges was to provide enough desk locations for their staff with the new location being approximately half the size of their old office. The Fit-Out also needed to be strictly in line with Knight Franks design guide which included the installation of a ‘Living Wall’, a bespoke piece of joinery to sit in the main office space and have the ability for the information screen and illuminated signage to pull out for display in the shop front window outside of opening hours.
The Benefits
Following the installation of new basement waterproofing and bespoke HVAC systems, the resulting Fit-Out is a sympathetically designed renovation using bespoke joinery solutions to maximise the available footage.
Knight Frank now benefits from a prime location providing the capacity for both their permanent office-based staff and ‘Hot’ Desks to accommodate their visiting staff as well as a large meeting room with conference facilities, open plan Kitchen, breakfast bar, WC, and multiple secure storage rooms. The renovation of the exterior was complemented by the refurbishment of the existing awnings with new mechanisms and replacement fabrics.
